Archway Genealogy offers retrieval of records of all types for a number of repositories and archives in Maryland and Washington D.C. As we visit several of the major repositories regularly, you can often obtain a copy of a record in a more timely and cost efficient manner through a professional genealogist retrieval versus the archive directly.
In addition, if there are questions as to finding the record ~ or the chance that there could be much more to retrieve ~ we provide expertise of the records and repository and can ascertain all possibilities. Currently, Archway Genealogy offers regular record retrieval of the following types, but may also be able to fulfill requests for other locations or record types.
Maryland
~ Vital Records (Birth, Marriage, Death)

These documents may be found at the Maryland State Archives, Maryland Center for History & Culture, and other local genealogical or historical societies.
National Repositories and Washington D.C.
~ National Archives (Revolutionary War Unapproved Pensions, “Old Wars” / War of 1812 Pensions, Civil War Pension Files, Compiled Military Service Records, Bounty Land Applications and Certificates, Enlistment Records (U.S. Official and Volunteer), Immigration Correspondance and Records, and much more.
~ NARA II (College Park) holds more immigration records, maps, military records (Naval Records from WWI and WWII, plus some additional WWII records), foreign records, and a wealth of other resources.
Archway Genealogy also conducts research and record retrievals at the Library of Congress, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Library, and other repositories in the DC area.
